Finally!! he is done, after weeks of working on other plushies and trying to figure out gloves and pouch and all sorts of other crazyness that comes with a kangaroo lol

He is made out of minky which is soooooo nice and soft but my machine didnt really like it. Sooooo with that being said, this little guy is COMPLETLY HAND SEWN. @_@
You can imagine the irritation everytime something went slightly wrong. But i learned alot from all those mistakes, so it worked out haha.

it was fun putting his little boxing gloves on :)
OH and get this, the little guy in the pouch .. he is in fact a finger puppet!! Smiley
hmm i wish i took better pictures of the little guy. but i was in a rush to the post office, had to make sure he go there just in time for christmas!

anyways.
Enjoy )

Hey everyone! It's been so long since I posted (though I continue to read everyone elses entries!) and I hope everyone is well.

First, thanks to everyone who helped me out with my queston about painting styrofoam. I opted to just use permanent markers. It was something I already had and it worked out great. I vended my first convention in October (which is why I was asking about styrofoam for my displays!) and it was a HUGE success for me. I've been slowly listing the leftovers on Etsy. Beneath the cut you'll find photos of the some of the items I made for the con. The leftovers, like I said, are on my Etsy and I'll have a link to that as well at the bottom.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

I decided that my family's fridge needed some magnets and after nearly 2 weeks of searching, I found some cute ones at borders. Problem is, they are not very strong. I was thinking of going to JoAnns or Michels to find some good magnets to glue to the back but I don't want to be duped again.

Does anyone know good brands of magnets?

Ohmigosh I'm freaking out!
I bought all my gifts on ebay!
And I'm so afraid that they won't be here in time for christmas!!
I just wanna make something cheap, and easy to tide everyone over till their gifts get here.

I can draw, I can do a lil hand sewing...

I thought of maybe just baking a bunch of cookies and putting them in gift bags.
But I don't know.

Can someone help me?
:/

I need some ideas!!

It was originally going to air on Fox, but due to Marvel's financial troubles at the time, it was sadly not meant to be...

I've had some mismatched Christmas toesocks that I've been meaning to make monsters out of, but had been putting it off until the Christmas season...

I love that green button! It's my last one...which is mostly the reason he has only one eye! None of my other green buttons worked as well as this one, and I didn't have any other buttons that went with it. That's the beauty of making monsters...you can get away with giving them only one eye!

I got a message from my brother a few weeks ago asking for a custom koala Nubbin with a red heart and blue eyes. And I've finally got around to making his Koala this week. It's a Christmas gift for his girlfriend (awwwww!). They have some inside joke about koalas.

The idea is to get people who enter to either add my blog or join my mailing list which you can do my emailing me erina @ tragicstitches . com (with out spaces) and saying add me. Or of course pushing the follow button at the top of the blog. You certainly don't have to do any of that but I sure would appreciate it. Below is the link to my blog where you can enter.

http://tragicstitches.blogspot.com/ feel free to enter, but be sure to leave your email so I can find you if you win. Go check it out the free bunny is real cute... okay here is a pic.

Since you guys always have amazing ideas, I thought I'd ask...

I have 8 of these cute little scrapbooking jars, but I was trying to come up with some ideas for maybe making holiday gifts for my mum and grandmother. Or even for just organizing things.

I have no idea what to use them for, so they're just basically sitting on a shelf, empty, and I'm at a loss.

I do sew, and I thought about maybe using one to hold buttons, but that still leaves 7 jars.
It feels like a waste if they're just sitting there.

So any ideas for organization, or Xmas gifts would be greatly appreciated. (Especially since I don't know what to get my grams, and she's getting me an Xbox 360)
:S

I am also limited on funds. I have some money, but I can't like, load up on expensive things.

Thanks in advance crafters! <3
